FrontPage has some built in features such as hit counters that require the Server Extensions.

As long as you develop your site without custom controls from FrontPage you will not need the server extensions.

  1. No. Frontpage just adds a load of non-standard, proprietary crap to the HTML code, that that will only work on sites that can handle “frontpage extentions.”

    But you don’t need them on the hosting site.

  2. Looks like they just picked the name from a series of products that are unrelated to their service – at a glance, all I see is PHP based hosting, which has nothing to do with the Microsoft FrontPage product line *at all*.

    So the short answer to your question would be “no, you don’t need MS FrontPage to have a site hosted with this company”.
