What is a good and cheap hosting company?
I am looking to buy shared web hosthosting…what are some good web hosts and deals?
I have been using Dreamhost for 5 months now, and I love them. I develop a lot of websites – big and small, and Dreamhost is perfect.
They have very good customer service. Anytime I had a problem (even at 10-12PM at night, they still emailed me back within the hour answering my question!)
They have a lot of specials going on now too.
Use the promo code "stylst" (monthly hosting only) which waives the setup fee and gives you a free domain registration!
I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/
Powweb is on a 50% sale – $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them.

I suggest you have a look at http://www.hosting24.com they will register a domain name for free for life and come with unlimited webspace and unlimited data transfer and you can go with them on a monthly basis.
They also have a very useful website building wizard that can help you build your site.
Also when you sign up with them if you enter in a discount code they will give you 25% off their ridiculously cheap hosting plans. code to use is 25OFF
I host all my sites there and have been more than pleased with their help and support which is available by phone support! I hope this helps

For the best deal that I am aware of, I recommend going with webhostingpad. Check out the reviews here – http://www.webhostinggroup.net/web-hosting/web-hosting-pad-review/

I use and recommend:
http://www.hostmonsterplus.com
They have (almost) unlimited space and transfer.
They give you a free domain for life.
They have php and mysql if you ever use those.
You can also add as many domains (.com, .net, …) as you like so you can have many different sites for 1 hosting price.
They also give you free $50 Google Credits for advertising your site.
If you go with them and have any trouble making your site feel free to PM me, I have a lot of experience there.
Whatever you choose, the best luck to you.
Oh and someone above said to go with godaddy.com — There could be little worse advice than that. Godaddy is great for registering domains, but they lack greatly as a hosting company.
I've been using http://www.hostmonsterplus.com for 3 years now and could not recommend anything else.
